Reliance Jio users have been treated with great offers in the past weeks, and it looks like there's no immediate stop to that generosity. To avail the offers of Jio, users must have a 4G smartphone as the new telco's network runs entirely on LTE. But those with 2G and 3G phones can also take a piece of the pie.
If you haven't heard of JioFi, it is a hotspot dongle which lets users with 2G and 3G phones as well as laptops to connect to Jio's 4G network and avail the same offers as those of 4G smartphone users. The company had launched the 4G LTE JioFi dongle to connect multiple devices at once, regardless of what bands they support. The tiny device costs Rs 1,999, which is truly worthy of its price.

There's a catch!
Under the offer, a new JioFi might not cost you anything, but there's a catch. The exchange offer works in the form of cashback. So if you trade in your old dongle for a new JioFi, you'll be getting free 4G data worth Rs 2,010 on your new dongle. This means, you'll still have to pay the cost of JioFi, which is Rs 1,999.
Once the cost of the device is worked out, to enjoy the Jio services on multiple devices through JioFi, customers need to activate a new connection. To do so, they must pay Rs 408, which includes Rs 309 for the plan and Rs 99 for Jio Prime membership. This recharge is mandatory to avail the exchange offer and Jio services.
