The 64th Filmfare South Awards was held on Saturday, June 17, at Novotel and HICC Complex, Hyderabad. The event was kick-started at 6 pm and was attended by bigwigs of the south Indian film industry.
It is an annual event that unites four film industries – Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. The 64th Filmfare South Awards was hosted by Allu Sirish, Ragini Dwivedi and Vijay Devarakonda.
The evening was packed with electrifying performances by some of the leading names from all the four industries. Rakul Preet Singh, Samyukta Hegde, Nikki Galrani and many other celebrities are going to entertain guests with their dancer numbers.

History of Filmfare South Awards
The first ever Filmfare Awards (South) was held in 1963 at the prestigious Kalaivanar Arangam in Chennai, which was then the hub of film activities. The inaugural event saw the coming together of Tamil and Telugu film industries. Malayalam and Kannada were included in 1966 and 1969, respectively.
