The year 2014 seems to be very lucky for Siddharth as his last film, "Jigarthanda" and the trailer of "Kaaviya Thalaivan" have been received well by the viewers.
On 26 October, Siddharth took to his Twitter page to thank his fans. The actor wrote, "Getting ready for the best year end! #KaaviyaThalaivan releases worldwide on November 14. #Enakkuloruvan ready for release too.I'm waiting!" He added, "Thank you for the incredible support! This year has been special thanks to all the fans and supporters. You guys make everything worth it!!"
His last project, "Jigarthanda", which released in theatres across the globe on 1 August, has made brilliant collections at the Indian and international box offices. The film has raked approximately ₹35 crore in its lifetime. Directed by Karthik Subbaraj, the film has become one of big hits of his career.
Siddharth has planned to have another release in this year. Directed by Vasanthabalan, his next project, "KaaviyaThalaivan", which is currently in the post-production stage, is scheduled to release in theatres on 7 November. Released on YouTube its teaser has garnered very good response from the viewers.
The actor is now eagerly waiting for the release of the movie "KaaviyaThalaivan", which is a historical fiction film written by Vasanthabalan. On 22 October, Siddharth tweeted, "Wonderful response to the #KAAVIYATHALAIVAN trailer. Vasanthabalan, ARR, Nirav, Sashi... My amazing team! November... I'm waiting :)"
Set in early 20th century, "Kaaviya Thalaivan" revolves around the story of two theatre artistes and the competition that exists between them in a small drama troupe. Siddharth and Prithviraj have played the two theatre artistes, while Nassar, Vedhika and Anaika Soti appear in other important roles in the film, which boasts of AR Rahman's music and Nirav Shah's cinematography.
