The investigation into the Jiah Khan suicide case has run into a hurdle with police claiming that text messages from her boyfriend Sooraj Pancholi's phone have been deleted.
On investigation, police found an abusive message in Jiah's phone which Sooraj sent saying the actress had made his 'life a prison' by 'spying on him.'
Officials investigating the case were already struggling with Jiah's password protected phone, and are finding it more difficult now that crucial messages exchanged between the couple have been wiped.
It has been reported that the Jiah's suspicions about her boyfriend's loyalty was one of the reasons that led her to take the extreme step. On Monday, Jiah had called Sooraj wanting to meet him, but he refused saying that he was supposed to meet a friend. When Jiah called up this friend, she denied Sooraj's claim making Jiah certain that he was cheating on her.
Post-mortem reports suggested that the actress was drunk and had taken some anti-depressants before hanging to the ceiling fan using a dupatta.
Police have also seized her laptop and taken data of her social accounts.
Meanwhile, actor Aditya Pancholi, while attending Jiah's funeral with son Sooraj and daughter Sana on Wednesday told The Times of India, "The day the incident happened, I was worried about my child but later realized what the other family must be going through - Rabiya and Jiah were like buddies and two sisters. It is an irreparable loss to the family."
"Suraj is completely shattered and is not in a state of mind to talk to anyone. He is in a state of shock and disbelief," he added.
The yesteryear actor during the service got into a scuffle with the media after his car banged down a camera tripod belonging to a reporter. Jiah's mother Rabiya was reportedly upset with Aditya's uncalled behaviour during the procession.
Meanwhile, the Bollywood fraternity continues to mourn the the death of the young starlet. Amitabh Bachchan, who co-starred with Jiah in "Nishabd" stated, "I am very sad and also worried. It feels strange to talk about it. Sometimes there are situations when someone gets sad and depressed. They come with dreams and when it is not fulfilled, they give up. I want to say that to end your life like this is not good. I am deeply upset with what has happened with Jiah Khan."
In another report, a twelve-year-old boy disturbed over Jiah's untimely death, ended his own life in Jaipur on Tuesday.
