At least one worker was killed and four others got trapped inside an underground coal mine in Jharkhand after its roof collapsed on Tuesday, reports said.
The coal mine reportedly is owned by the Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) and is located in Dhanbad.
Parimal Nathwani, a Member of Parliament from Jharkhand said in a Twitter post that the accident occurred to a "roof" collapse.
According to NDTV, 22 miners had entered the underground mine early in the morning. However, at the time of roof collapse there were only six workers inside the mine.
Emergency services have been alerted. More details awaited.
