At least 10 passengers on board a private bus travelling to Sasaram in Bihar were killed and 25 others were injured after the vehicle fell into a gorge on Garhwa-Ambikapur road in Jharkhand early on Monday morning.
The incident occurred at 3 am when the bus was on its way to Sasaram from Chhattisgarh's Bilaspur.
The injured are undergoing treatment in Garhwa's Civil Hospital. Authorities expect the death toll to rise as many patients are in critical condition, according to local news reports.
According to the initial reports, the driver of the bus lost control of the vehicle, which overturned and fell into the gorge near Garhwa District.
