In a major embarrassment for the BJP, Home Minister Rajnath Singh's helicopter lost its way while he was campaigning in Jharkhand, reports CNN-IBN.
Instead of landing in Badajamda in Chaibasa, the chopper ended up in Majhgaon.
Singh was in Jharkhand to campaign for BJP ahead of the second phase of polls in the state.
The pilot who took quite a while to realise that he was going in the wrong direction is due to be investigated on how he managed to lose his way and take the wrong route.
Considering the fact that Singh is second in line in the BJP government after Prime Minister Narendra Modi makes the incident even more critical.
Another worrisome fact is that due to extremism in the area it has been marked as a highly sensitive zone.
There was a major Naxal threat in the first phase of the polls on Tuesday.
