Dance reality show "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa" hasn't lived up to expectations this season. Despite high budget and varied themes every week, the choreographers failed to create much-needed magic. The only redeemer now happens to be the celebrities who attend the show to promote their films.
This week, the "Raja Natwarlal" cast – Emraan Hashmi, Humaima Malik - was on the sets to promote their upcoming release. Wearing a gorgeous saree, Malik looked every inch a stunner. Meanwhile, Hashmi kept it simple in a shirt and a pair of jeans.
The challenge for the week was interesting as the choreo partners were swapped to test the 'real' dancing ability of the stars. During the shoot, Hashmi was moved by Shakti Mohan and her 'switch' partner, Puneet's performance. Laced with patriotic fervour, their act was the best of night.
Unfortunately, Kiku Sharda was eliminated post the 'Jaan Ke Liye Dance' round. When pitted against Tara Popowich, Sharda went blank and failed to complete the act.
Visibly thrilled with the performances, the cast of "Raja Natwarlal" had wise words for the participants and from the looks of it enjoyed it thoroughly. To make the episode a tad interesting, after Ashish Sharma and her 'switch' partner Vaibhavi's sensual act, Hashmi wooed Madhuri Dixit on "Pee Loon".
The highlight of the show was Hashmi and Karan Johar's brief interview, "Imlee With Emraan", during which the actor asked with whom did Johar share his first kiss and at what age. Flushed and embarrassed, Johar said he was 22 when he first kissed and added that he 'started late'. The "Raja Natwarlal" actor had a good laugh and said he started as young as seven.
The fun-filled episode also had a special performance by Remo D'Souza and Emraan Hashmi, who grooved to the "Flip Your Collar Back" song from "Raja Natwarlal". "Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa" is now left with seven contestants: Shakti Mohan, Mouni Roy, Akshat Singh, Sophie Choudry, Ashish Sharma, Karan Tacker, and Tara Popowich.
