Sreesanth's ouster was a big blow to the celebrity dance show "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa" as it lost one of the finest dancers and strongest contenders. However, the banned cricketer was reportedly miffed with the judges' decision and had contradictory views on his face-off performance.
Sreesanth and choreo partner Sneha, for the face-off, chose nunchaku as their prop. The performance, which began with a good deal of promise, fizzled out as Sreesanth appeared uncomfortable using it.
"It was just a bad day. I had got hit on my head some time before that and was in deep pain. I was not all there and really didn't mean to behave that way or upset anybody. I respect all the three judges very much. It's because of the pain that I wanted to get out of the set. In fact, once I got into the vanity and got some medication, I immediately sent a text to Remo Sir. I told him I didn't mean to behave that way and asked him to convey my message to Karan sir and Madhuri ma'am too," he told The Times of India.
The pace bowler, who has had a decent run on the show, was reportedly made to perform out of turn, due to which he left the set immediately after elimination and didn't sit through the entire shoot. "The outburst was more because of the disappointment than anger as I was doing extremely well on the show during the past six weeks. I think I just had a bad day. It was wrong timing and wrong choice of song," Sreesanth told The Press Trust of India.
Having clarified his reasons behind the outburst on the show, the cricketer spoke about future projects as well. Since he was confident about being on the show till the end, he had requested the makers of "Anbulla Azagae" to start the film in October, Sreesanth told PTI. He also added that he will not be doing anymore reality shows and will wait for the film's shoot to begin.
