The first episode of "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 9" opened with celebrity contestants putting up stellar performances along with their choreo-partners.
The ninth edition of the dance reality show will see Shakti Arora, Shantanu Maheshwari, Arjun Bijlani, Karishma Tanna, Helly Shah, Surveen Chawla, Nora Fatehi, Celebrity Chef Harpal Singh Sokhi, Gaurav Gera and Bharatnatyam/Hip-Hop fusion dancing twins Priyanka and Poonam Shah battle it out for the coveted trophy.
Judges — Karan Johar, Ganesh Hegde and Jacqueline Fernandez — appeared charged up and ready for the season. What took the cake were host Manish Paul's gags; however, some of his jokes fell flat.
All the acts were top-notch, but the twins stole the show with their fusion dance piece. Combining Bharatnatyam and popping, Priyanka-Poonam danced to "Pinga" and had their sync game on-point. If you have seen their "Ramta Jogi" cover on YouTube, you'll know why were are so taken by their moves.
