Contestants of "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 8" rehearse diligently, but at times their hard work fails to translate into performances. After Shamita Shetty fractured her nose bridge, eliminated contestant Ashish Chowdhry too sustained injuries in his last performance on the show.
Talking to The Times of India, the actor said he lost out because of poor harness coordination. "When I was performing the aerial act, one of the guys who was supposed to pull the harness slipped and so, they missed the takeoff timing. The show's format is such that a participant can't ask for a second chance."
He further elaborated how Lauren Gottlieb went backstage to give an earful to those handling the wires.
However, the ouster didn't mar his spirit and he took to Twitter to explain to his fans how he took the exit door with a smile on his face. "So I bowed out of #JhalakReloaded with a smile for what it gave me. I have no regrets or complaints. The cable guys are also human. Wont blame em ever," he posted and later added a photo from the operation theatre where he underwent surgery for the injuries he suffered during the aerial act.
In other news, Subhreet Kaur also had to leave the show.
