Popular Ghazal singer Talat Aziz and his choreographer partner Ankita Maity are the first two contestants to get eliminated from the fifth season of dance reality show "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa".
The BBC Worldwide Productions' show has 13 contestants pairing with professional choreographers on a competitive stage.
Talat along with TV hosts Archana Vijaya and Shibani Dhandekar were amongst the three contestants who scored the least points after merging audience's and judges' votes.
According to sources, Talat failed to impress the judges on the show and received fewer votes from the audiences.
The other contestants include Gurmeet Chowdhary, Giaa Manek, Sanath Jayasuriya, Bharti Singh, Pratyusha Banerjee, Sushil Kumar, Darsheel Safary, Ravi Kishan, Isha Sharvani and Jayati Bhatia.
The show is hosted by Manish Paul and Ragini Khanna and the judge's panel includes Bollywood diva Madhuri Dixit, choreographer Remo D'Souza and filmmaker Karan Johar.
On June 16, 12 celebrity contestants rocked the dance floor at the opening of the season five episode. The show will see some amazing dance performances from the contestants this week.
