Jerry Seinfeld, the star of hit TV show "Seinfeld" will be performing his first stand-up routine in Asia on 14 March and then again in 15 March, at Mumbai's Sardar Vallabhai Patel Stadium, NSCI. His will be one of the acts at the Stage 42 festival, which showcases talent in comedy, music, theatre and food.
Star of the "greatest television program of all time", as tagged by TV Guide in 2002, Seinfeld issued a statement regarding the show: "I have always been fascinated by India and its culture. I have great respect for its people and their way of life. It is a great honour for me to be invited there and make fun of it in person."
The tickets for the show have been on sale since February, and are priced at Rs 7,500. The tickets can be bought at insider's Stage 42 "Seinfeld Live".
The Stage42 festival will take place in seven cities between February and March; namely Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune.
Another international comedian to take part in the festival is Canadian star Russel Peters, who also performed at Sardar Vallabhai Patel Stadium on 11 and 12 February.
