Marvel Cinematic Universe fans finally get to see Hawkeye in Avengers 4. Jeremy Renner recently posted a picture of himself on social media that reportedly proves that he will be joining the cast and crew of Avengers 4, currently reshooting in Atlanta.
The 2018 release, Avengers: Infinity War became the highest grossing film of 2018. The superhero film had some intense moments, and fans were left speechless after seeing that heartbreaking mid and post-credit sequence. When Hawkeye did not show up in the Infinity War, many assumed that he will indeed come during the end of the film and save the day, which clearly did not happen. Fans of MCU were left wondering why the film did not portray him and Ant-Man during the epic fight with Thanos.
Recently released Ant-Man and the Wasp showed Scott Lang's heroic moment as he enters the Quantum Realm. The mid-credit sequence did reveal why the superhero was not with Captain America and others when they all were fighting Thanos.
The reason behind Ant-Man and Hawkeye's absence was explained in one line during the Avengers: Infinity War as well. Before the Battle of Wakanda, Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) noted that both Clint Barton aka Hawkeye and Scott Lang aka Ant-Man were given plea deals after the events of Captain America: Civil War. Their plea deal made them stay close to their family instead of serving a hard time on The Raft prison.
But now, Renner's picture showed that somehow shows that he is going to portray his role of Hawkeye in the upcoming Avengers film. He posted a picture of himself as Hawkeye with a caption that says, "Got this feelin I need to SUITup soon..."
In addition to this, Avengers 4 directors Joe Russo and Anthony Russo talked about Avengers 4 and how it is their best work yet. While talking with Deadline, they stated that Avengers 4 is currently in the post-production stage and there are few reshoots which they will be doing in a month or so.
"I think ultimately Avengers 4 may be our best work for Marvel. I think we've grown with every movie that we've made there. We've grown with the characters. We've grown with the cast. As filmmakers, we're very happy and very excited with the movie."
Featuring an ensemble cast of Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Josh Brolin, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Brie Larson, and others, Avengers 4 is scheduled to release on May 3, 2019.
