Oisin Tymon, the BBC producer, who is at the centre of the Jeremy Clarkson controversy, after he was allegedly punched on the face by the angry presenter, is reportedly in hiding because of online death threats.
The 36-year-old was punched by Clarkson when the TV presenter found that there was no food for him when he reached the Simonstone Hall Hotel in North Yorkshire after a shoot.
A report in Mirror said that Clarkson had threatened to have the producer sacked before the alleged attack during a 40-minute rant.
He also called Tymon a "lazy, Irish c***" before punching him near the lips leaving him with blood running down his face, the tabloid said.
"You'll be on the dole tomorrow. I'm going to make sure you will not have a job," Clarkson reportedly shouted at the senior producer.
Even as more than 800,000 die-hard fans of the BBC show Top Gear have signed a petition to have suspended Clarkson reinstated, an overwhelming number of fans on Twitter have blamed the producer for Clarkson's possible exit from the show.
While one of the comments said the producer had a "very punchable face" and should never work again, others have even circulated his personal email address asking people to personally write to him. The increasing number of threats and online abuses have forced the producer to go in hiding, a Daily Mail report said.
Oisin Tymon is a producer – he failed to produce. Sack him," one die-hard fan of Top Gear was quoted as saying.
