Actress Jennifer Aniston was forced to chop off her long tresses and opt for a blunt cut after a hair therapy went wrong.
Aniston was solely responsible for popularising the "short feathery" haircut. To many, this style came to be known as the "Rachel in F.R.I.E.N.D.S." hairstyle. Once again, the "Bounty Hunter" actress has opted for a short hair do - this time more out of need than style.
"My hair went through a phase - I did this thing called a Brazilian and my hair did not react really well to it. It's about two inches above my shoulders now," Aniston told Elle UK.
Aniston also admitted to the magazine that she's not very comfortable with her new hair cut and misses her long tresses.
"The minute I cut my hair I want it back. Always. It's a guarantee. I'm trying really hard to love this one," she added.
However, the hairdo may not have been all that sudden. According to a Vogue report, the actress said she was actually looking for a change and a haircut might as well be in order.
"It was kind of spur-of-the-moment. I was flipping through the television channels and I paused it to take a picture and I sent it to Chris (McMillan - her hair stylist), and he said, 'That's Lawren Howell from Vogue!' And then he said, 'I just cut that!' So that's it," she told the magazine.
Despite missing her long tresses, Aniston openly admitted earlier this year that she would rather shave her head bald than have the "Rachel cut" for the rest of her life.
