After revenge thriller Oozham, director Jeethu Joseph is set to script another movie that stars Indrajith Sukumaran and Biju Menon in the lead roles. However, the filmmaker will not be helming the project, as it is the debut directorial venture of Anzar Khan.
This is the first time the Drishyam director will be penning a script for another director and the upcoming film, which is touted to be another thriller, has been titled Lakshyam. Anzar, who has earlier associated with Viji Thampy, has directed a few short films and telefilms.
Sshivada Nair of Su Su Sudhi Vathmeekam and Inspector Dawood Ibrahim fame will be seen as the female lead of the film. Kishore Satya, who was last seen in Prithviraj Sukumaran's Oozham, is said to be seen in a pivotal role apart from Shammy Thilakan.
The makers are expected to officially announce the project in October and the film will go on floors in November. Produced by Joy Shakthikulangara, Lakshyam will be distributed by Dileep's Grand Productions. While Sinu Sidharth handles the cinematography, Anil Johnson composes the music and K Rajashekhar choreographs the action sequences. Director Jeethu's wife Linda will be the costume designer of the thriller.
Meanwhile, Jeethu's latest release Oozham has been garnering tremendous response from the audience. The movie, which also stars Neeraj Madhav, Divya Pillai, Jayaprakash, Balachandra Menon, Seetha and Rasna Pavithran in significant roles, has been performing well at the Kerala box office. The makers of the revenge thriller have revealed that the Prithviraj-starrer has minted Rs 12.57 crore within 12 days of its theatrical run in the state.
