Jeep, the iconic American utility vehicle manufacturer made its India entry on Aug. 30 with two models-- the Wrangler Unlimited and the Grand Cherokee SUV. The Grand Cherokee is offered in three trims – Limited, Summit and the high-powered Grand Cherokee SRT.

Jeep, the iconic American utility vehicle manufacturer, is all set to launch its much-awaited Wrangler Unlimited and Jeep Grand Cherokee in India on Aug. 30, Tuesday.
Jeep, which made its India debut at the Auto Expo 2016 in India, will initially bring this model to India as Completely Built Up (CBU) units. Jeep is said to be considering the local assembly at Ranjagaon plant in Pune in 2017.
The Jeep, which has bigger plans for India, is planning to set up 10 dealerships in the country. The company will initially run its operations in the country with two dealerships -- Delhi and Ahmedabad -- and it will be followed by a dealership in Kochi and Mumbai. While the Jeep dealership in Ahmedabad will be run by Concept Motors, the dealership in Kochi will be owned by Pinnacle motors.
