Compass, the first Made in India vehicle of iconic SUV maker Jeep, is ready for launch. Dealerships of Jeep in India have already started accepting bookings for Compass, which is manufactured at FCA's Ranjangaon plant in Maharashtra. Ahead of the launch sometime in August, brochures of the compact SUV have been leaked online.

According to the leaked brochure, Compass will be offered mainly in three variants -- Sport, Longitude, Limited -- and two sub-variants -- Longitude (O) and Limited (O). Longitude and Longitude (O) is exclusive for diesel engine models. The SUV will be offered in five colour options -- Vocal White, Brilliant Black, Minimal Grey, Hydro Blue and Exotica Red.
Here is the variant wise features' list:
Sport -- 16-inch steel wheels, halogen headlamps, a 5-inch touchscreen infotainment system, all black interiors, electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs, front airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), traction control, ABS with EBD, four disc brakes and electric parking brake.
Longitude -- In addition to the features in Sport, 17-inch 5-spoke alloy wheels, front and rear fog lamps, push button start, rear parking sensors and black and beige dual tone interiors. Longitude(O) will boast of a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual zone climate control, black roof rails and projector headlamps.
Limited -- In addition to the features in Longitude (O), LED tail lamps, rear camera, leather-wrapped seats and steering wheel, door scuff plates, Ski-Grey interiors and AWD transmission option with Select Terrain system. The 4x4 models flaunt front side and curtain airbags. Limited (O) will have HID headlamps and dual-tone paint scheme for roof.
Under the hood, the compact SUV will get a 2.0-litre MultiJet diesel engine and a 1.4-litre MultiAir turbo petrol engine options. The diesel mill will develop 170hp and 350Nm of torque mated to a six-speed manual transmission. On the other hand, the petrol mill will belt out 160hp. A six-speed manual and a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic will be offered with the petrol mill.
Since Compass is expected to become the volume driver for Jeep and FCA in India, expected price hovers around Rs 18-25 lakh, ex-showroom.
