Telugu actor JD Chakravarthy is making a comeback to Malayalam films with director Siddique's "Bhasker the Rascal". He will be seen with popular South Indian actress Nayanthara in the film.
JD Chakravarthy is one Telugu actor, who has done films in as many as five languages. He forayed into Mollywood with director Kamal's "Ennodu Ishtam Koodamo"in 1992. But he never looked back at the industry in over two decades. In 2014, he once again returned to entertain the Malayalam audience with Prithviraj's 2014 film "Double Barrel".
"Bhasker the Rascal" is his third Malayalam film. JD Chakravarthy says that he has a very interesting role in the movie, but he declines to divulge the details. "The way Siddique sketched my character floored me. I got excited and here I am. I'm not allowed to reveal much about my character. All I can say is that I am the antagonist," The Times of India quoted Chakravarthy as saying.
JD Chakravarthy, who has has worked with Nayanthara in Ravi Teja's Telugu film "Dubai Seenu", is happy to share screen space wither her. "When I heard that she is in the movie, I was relieved. I was happy that there will be someone I know there. She has always been a good friend, and I loved working with her," the actor told TOI.
"Bhasker the Rascal" is written and directed by Siddique and produced by Anto Joseph. Mammootty and Nayanthara play lead roles, while Harisree Ashokan, Janardhanan and Saju Navodaya appear in supporting cast in the movie, which will have Deepak Dev's music and Vijay Ulaganath's cinematography.
Chakravarthy has no qualms about acting in multiple industries, if he gets good roles and scripts. He says that he enjoyed working in "Bhasker the Rascal". "To be honest, I was uncomfortable at first, but everyone made me comfortable and I am enjoying it. Siddique is such a gentle person and you learn a lot of life lessons from him," the actor added.
