The wait is finally over and the trailer of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's comeback film "Jazbaa" is out.
Director Sanjay Gupta took to his Twitter handle to unveil the much-awaited "Jazbaa" trailer.
"Jazbaa" is a female-centric film, which is the official remake of South Korean crime drama "Seven Days", and the "Guzaarish" actress will reportedly sport a completely different look in the flick.
"Seven Days" revolved around four characters: a lawyer, a cop, an actor accused of killing a woman and a professor. "Seven Days" was a bestselling film in 2007 and it also won several awards.
The trailer of "Jazbaa" starts with Aishwarya, who plays the role of lawyer Anuradha Verma, getting a call of her daughter being kidnapped. The kidnappers demand her to fight a case for a prisoner, who is accused of rape and murder.
Irrfan Khan plays the role of a cop who helps Anuradha fight all odds in her mission to free her daughter from the criminals.
Although Aishwarya looks anxious and determined to get her daughter back throughout the trailer, while Irrfan Khan gives a splendid performance.
While a lot has been said about the film, including the high-octane action stunts performed by the actress, the trailer seems to lack those.
Going by the two-and-a-half-minute trailer, "Jazbaa" looks promising with some gripping, nail-biting scenes. Gupta has managed to keep the suspense of the film, thereby increasing curiosity among the viewers.
"Jazbaa" has been making tremendous buzz as it marks the Former Miss World's comeback to the silver screen after a five-year hiatus, but it remains to be seen how it will open at the box office.
The action thriller also features Jackie Shroff and Shabana Azmi and will hit theatres on 9 October.
