Ever since the first look of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's much talked about film "Jazbaa" was revealed, Bollywood celebs and fans have been going gaga over it.
The former Miss World, who is making a comeback with the film after a five-year hiatus , is overwhelmed with the huge buzz around the film, not only in India but at Cannes as well.
According to a report on Bollywood Life, Aishwarya, who is attending the 68th Cannes International Film Festival, told the media via video chat: "I am just thankful and it feels great that audience is showing interest in my film."
"It was fun and I was very happy to see that film is making buzz not only in India, but here at Cannes as well. Personally, I am not on social media but I now I am for sometime for L'Oreal and I saw it was trending at No. 1 in India. It was definitely being recognised. Even in the interactions here (at Cannes), everyone was like Jazbaa has become topical and is creating buzz," she added
Directed by Sanjay Gupta, "Jazbaa" is a female-centric film that will see Aishwarya playing the role of a lawyer and performing some high octane never-seen-before action sequences.
The film is a remake of South Korean crime drama "Seven Days" and recent reports suggest that the "Guzaarish" actress will sport a completely different look in the film.
"Jazbaa" also features Irrfan Khan and Shabana Azmi and will hit theatres on 9 October.
