Jayasurya's 2015 movie "Aadu Oru Bheekara Jeeviyanu" failed to make a mark at the Kerala box office after it opened to average response from the audience. However, the movie received overwhelming response from Netizens after it was released online. The movie, produced by Sandra Thomas and Vijay Babu under the banner of Friday Film House, also got good DVD sales compared to other superstar movies and Jayasurya's character as Shaji Pappan was well accepted by the audience.
Now, the makers are planning to make a sequel to the Mithun Manuel Thomas directorial as the Kerala audience are eagerly waiting to see Shaji Pappan and his gang back on the big screen.
"If Friday Film House is the Malayalam film industry, the part two of "Aadu" will be released due to the positive responses we get from audience now. We have discussed the matter with its director Mithun and he is also interested to do a sequel of the movie once we get a good story. But I cannot say it will be sequel to "Aadu", but the characters Shaji Pappan, Arakkal Abu, Sarbath Shameer and their gang will make a comeback," producer Vijay Babu had recently said in an interview.
Apart from Jayasurya, the film also has Saiju Kurupu, Sunny Wayne, Dharmajan, Chemban Vinod, Vinayakan, Vijay Babu, Sandra Thomas, Aju Varghese, Renji Panicker, Indrans, Srinda, Kottayam Pradeep in pivotal roles. Shaan Rahman's music and background scores were one of the highlights of the film.
Meanwhile, Friday Film House's Christmas release "Adi Kapyare Kootamani" has been getting good response from the audience. The production company also has "Muthugavu" among its upcoming projects. It has Suresh Gopi's son Gokul Suresh in the lead role.
