Malayalam actor Jayasurya's upcoming horror movie "Pretham" is one of the most anticipated films of the year. The first-look poster of the Ranjith Sankar-directed movie was released on its Facebook page on Wednesday, June 8. The poster features Jayasurya, Govind Padmasoorya, Aju Varghese and Sharaf U Dheen in a swimming pool.
Jayasurya's tonsured look for the upcoming movie was revealed a few days ago, and the video of the complete make-over went viral on social media, with netizens calling him one the most dedicated actors in the industry. In "Pretham," the actor plays a mysterious man named John Don Bosco, who has spent his childhood in an orphanage. His character is said to be witty, cool and romantic.
"Pretham," which has Shruti Ramachandran and Pearle Maaney as the female leads, also stars Dharmajan, Sunil Sukhada, Devan, Hareesh Peradi and Sathi Premji.
Jithu Damodar handles the cinematography of "Pretham," which has been edited by V Saajan Vasudev. Anand Madhusoodanan has composed the music and Rafeeq Ahamed has penned the lyrics of the film's songs.
"Pretham," written and directed by Ranjith Sankar, has been produced by Ranjith and Jayasurya, and is the fifth production venture of Dreams N Beyond, which had earlier bankrolled the movies "Molly Aunty Rocks," "Punyalan Agarbathis," "Varsham" and "Su Su Sudhi Vathmeekam." The upcoming movie is expected to hit the screens on Aug. 12.
