Vijay Babu and Sandra Thomas are coming up with their next flick "Aadu Oru Bheegara Jeeviyanu" under the banner of Friday Film House. The film has Jayasurya and as the title suggests, the lead character of the film will be played by a goat.
The film is said to be a comedy entertainer, directed and scripted by Midhun Manuel Thomas, who has earlier proven his prowess as a scriptwriter for the super hit film "Om Shanthi Oshana." The film will see Jayasurya in the role of Shaji Pappan, captain of a tug-of-war team. It revolves around this team and its members. Vijay Babu will be seen as a police officer in the film.
Friday Films' last production with Jayasurya was "Philips and the Monkey Pen" (2013), directed by Rojin Thomas and Shanil Muhammed. It was a box office hit and also enjoyed excellent reviews from critics and audiences.
The film revolved around Regen Philip (Master Sanoop Santhosh) and his father Roy Philip (Jayasurya), and how a magic pen (monkey pen) changes Regen's life. He experiences a special bond with the pen gifted by his grandfather (Joy Mathew) and it positively enhances his life. The film received many accolades, including Kerala State Film Award for best Children's film and Sanoop was awarded as the Best Child Artist.
The Friday Film House has become a popular production company in Malayalam cinema after the release of films such as "Friday", "Zachariyayude Garbhanikal" and "Philip and the Monkey Pen." The team is now at the post production stage of their upcoming comedy satire flick "Peruchazhi" starring Mohanlal. The film, directed by Arun Vaidyanathan will also see the comeback of the hit team Mohanlal- Mukesh after "Arabeem Ottakom P Madhavan Nayarum in Oru Marubhoomikadha" in 2011.
The shooting for "Aadu Oru Bheegara Jeeviyanu" will soon begin in Idukki. The film will feature Saiju Kurup, Vinayakan, Aju Varghese and 16 fresh talents. The cinematography of the film is handled by Vishnu Sharma and the music will be composed by Shaan Rahman.
