Jayasurya to Star in Sibi Malayil Movie?

Actor Jayasurya is now turning out to be the most sought after actor in the younger generation of Malayalam cinema. The latest buzz in the industry is that the directors are in a hurry to get the dates of this star with some creamy roles. The new reports from the entertainment columns suggest that the star will be soon appear in a family entertainer directed by Sibi Malayil.

According to reports, the upcoming Jayasurya-starrer is a complete family entertainer which will be scripted by TA Rasaq. Rasaq has scripted nearly 20 movies including "Nadodi", "Kanakkinavu", "Uthaman". "Uthaman", "Valkannadi", " Perumazhakkalam", "Vesham", "Bus Conductor", "Rappakal" , "Parunthu", "Ayrathil Oruvan" and "Penpattanam".

For Jayasurya, the year 2014 has turned out to be the best so far. Three films of the actor, "Happy Journey", "Apothecary" and "Iyobinte Pusthakam" which were released this year were either box office hits or were critically acclaimed. The actor was much appreciated for portraying the character of a patient in "Apothecary" and his negative role in the movie "Iyobinte Pusthakam".

Meanwhile, Jayasurya is awaiting the release of four movies this year including "Lal Bahadur Shastri," directed by Rejish Midhhila, "Mathai Kuzhappakkaran Alla," directed by Akku Akbar, "Aamayum Muyalum," directed by Priyadarshan and "Seconds," directed by Aneesh Upasana. The actor is currently shooting for "Aadu Oru Bheegara Jeevi Aanu," directed by Midhun Manuel Thomas.

The news is that the team of the new Sibi Malayil movie has not yet finalised the other cast and crew of the movie. If this project shapes out well, it will be the first time where Jayasurya will appear in a Sibi Malayil movie.

Sibi Malayail is one of the most prolific directors of the Malayalam film industry with more than 40 releases. But the director has poor records in the past few years as his last few movies failed to make an impression in the box office. His last movie "Njangalude Veettile Adhithikal" starring Jayaram and Priyamani in the lead garnered poor reviews from critics as well as the audience.

However, the latest news of the Sibi Malayil – Jayasurya combination has inclined the Malayil film lovers to believe that the movie will bring back the golden era of the ace director.
