The behind-the-scenes video of the second song of Malayalam movie "Aadupuliyattam" was released on the YouTube channel of East Coast on Friday, April 15.
The folk song, starting with the lyrics "Manja Kattil Pokande" has been sung by actors Jayaram, Ramesh Pisharody and Saju Navodaya. The music for the one-minute, 27-second traditional song has been composed by Ratheesh Vega.
Earlier, the makers had released the first video song "Vaalmuna Kannile" from the movie for which P Jayachandran has lent his voice. Kaithapram Damodaran Namboothiri has penned the lyrics of the melody. The song, featuring Jayaram and Ramya Krishnan, has been opened to a positive response from the audience. The movie has two more songs -- "Karupaana Kannazaki," sung by actress Mamta Mohandas and Ratheesh as well as Rimi Tomy and Najim Arshad's "Chilum Chilum."
The songs of the movie, directed by Kannan Thamarakulam and scripted by Dinesh Pallath, were launched in a grand function at Adlux International Convention and Exhibition Centre in Angamaly on April 6.
"Aadupuliyattam" has an ensemble cast, including Om Puri, Ramya Krishnan, Sheelu Abraham, Sudheer Karamana, Saju Navodaya, SP Sreekumar and Ramesh Pisharody. While Ramya will be seen in the role of Mathangi, the daughter of a tribal king, Om Puri will play a modern-day ascetic. The movie is expected to be released in April.
