After a silent week, Malayalam industry is becoming alive, but with a single release.
Jayaram-Priyamani starrer "Njangalude Veettile Adhithikal", directed by Sibi Malayil will hit the theatres on Thursday (30 October). The upcoming family entertainer's release date was postponed not to lock horns with big releases like Vijay's "Kaththi" and Shah Rukh Khan's "Happy New Year".
The story of the Jayaram starrer revolves around a happy couple, Advocate Manoj (Jayaram) and Bhavana (Priyamani) and how some uninvited guests disturb their family life. The film deals with some serious issues that happen in a normal family life, with a mix of comedy and other entertaining factors.
The director had earlier said that the film is meant for all age groups and is something, which the audience can expect from a Jayaram film. It is also said to be a female oriented film with an interesting plot. Priyamani will be seen as an introvert and an equally intellectual individual. Apparently, the actress' matured approach was the reason why the makers finalised her as the lead heroine.
The scripting of this film is done by Gireesh Kumar, who has earlier scripted Jayaram films like "Amrutham", "Veruthe Oru Bharya" and "Bharya Athra Pora".
Reportedly, Gireesh and Sibi decided to make this film six years ago and the basic storyline was initially a love story. The makers later said that the conceptualisation of this basic storyline into a family entertainer delayed the project.
Meanwhile, the film's promo song, sung by actor Kalabhavan Shajon was released recently. It become an instant success and was noticed for Shajon's versatile talent in singing.
"Njangalude Veettile Adhithikal" is also rich in terms of its star cast, which includes Narain, Innocent, KPAC Lalitha, Lena and Sreerag Nambiar.
The film is produced by Milan Jaleel under the banner of Galaxy films.
