Chiyaan Vikram has mourned the death of former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, who passed away on Monday, December 5. The actor is currently in New York from where he has sent a press release.
"It's with profound sadness and shock that I heard the news of the sad demise of our beloved Honourable CM Selvi Jayalalithaa Madam. Not only was she a great leader, but an icon in the eyes of millions of fans like me. Her persona, her inner strength, her eloquence will always be missed. It's truly a great loss, not just for Tamil Nadu but for the whole of India. God Bless Her Soul," the actor said in the press release with deep regret.
J Jayalalithaa breathed her last at the Apollo Hospitals after undergoing treatment for over 70 days. The actress-turned-politician was on the path of recovery. Unfortunately, she suffered a cardiac arrest on Sunday, leading to her death.
She had close relationship with film industry and Rajinikanth, Ajith Kumar and many others shared a cordial relationship with her.
Coming back to Vikram, the actor, who tasted a success earlier this year in the form of Iru Mugan, has given a nod to act in Gautham Menon's next movie. The director is said to be reviving his pending movie Dhruva Natchathiram. It is said to be a spy thriller which will be majorly shot in the US.
Vikram will be also working with Vijay Chander of Vaalu fame. The project will take off next year. He is also in talks with Socrates of Brahmann fame and Anand Shankar, who teamed up with the actor in Iru Mugan.
