Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa passed away on Monday night at Chennai's Apollo Hospital following a cardiac arrest on Sunday. The AIADMK and the hospital authorities confirmed that she breathed her last at 11:30 p.m. on Monday.
Jayalalithaa's body will be kept at Rajaji Hall in Chennai for the public to pay their last respects, following which she will be cremated on Tuesday evening. She will be cremated at the MGR Memorial at Marina Beach in Chennai at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
