Jay Z, Solange Knowles MET Gala Fight: Why is Beyonce's Sister Mad at Rapper?

Solange Knowles and Jay Z coming to blows at the MET Gala after party sent shockwaves amongst fans. The video showed Beyonce's sister Solange, hitting and kicking Jay Z in an elevator at NYC's Standard Hotel, on May 5. However, if reports are to be believed, this is not the first time that the two have got into a brawl.

Solange is apparently perpetually mad at Jay Z, as she thinks his support to Knowles family is not enough. Moreover, Solange's hatred is also to do with Beyonce's superstardom.

"Solange has shown anger and resentment to Jay Z for a long time. Jay has a knack for finding and fostering talent — Rihanna, Calvin Harris, J. Cole, etc. Solange has wanted to come out of her sister's shadow for forever and become her own star, and is always looking at B and Jay for advice," a source revealed to Hollywoodlife. 

"But she has this very odd way of handling his feedback. He will tell her, honestly, that 'this song is a hit' or 'this won't connect with people,' and she doubles back, claiming that she's an indie artist and can't make decisions based on trends," the source further added.

Moreover, Jay Z could go miles when it comes to helping Solange with her career but he is irked with the fact that she rejects his opinion.

Industry buzz also has it that Solange is not a great person to work with, as she comes with a chip on her shoulder.

"Solange is known in the industry as a bit of an entitled diva and not great to work with. People always get with her trying to get some of that Knowles magic (Beyonce on a budget), but she's just not as elite as her sister."
