The niche wearable category is quickly transforming into mainstream with great participation from renowned brands like Samsung, Apple, LG, Motorola, Xiaomi, Micromax and others. Owing to the grand success, the globally-recognised brand for wearable products, Jawbone, has ventured into India with the launch of three new fitness and heath trackers.
For its Indian debut, Jawbone has partnered with renowned online retailer, Amazon.in, to sell the new gadgets. The three new fitness tracking bands namely, UP Move, UP2 and UP3, will add more meaning to life with constant tracking of activity, sleep, nutrition and even heart rate.
The UP Move is the entry-level fitness tracker priced at Rs 4,999 while the UP2 and UP3 are higher-end variants at Rs 9,999 and Rs 14,999, respectively.
To better understand each tracker, below is a brief description.
UP Move
As the price suggests, UP Move is an entry-level tracker that co-ordinates with UP platform and Smart Coach app to help wearers lose weight and stay fit. The tracker comes in five colours, black burst, blue burst, grape rose, ruby rose and slate rose. It has six months of battery life. UP Move also tracks sleep and steps and gives a summary of daily progress on app.
UP Move can be purchased from Amazon.in for Rs 4,999.
UP2
If you wish to add more features to the UP Move tracker, UP2 is the next in the lineup. UP2 packs all the features found in the UP Move and additionally adds new features such as built-in vibrator to enable Smart Alarm and personalised reminders. The upgraded tracker also features a sleek look and automatically tracks sleep. In terms of battery, UP2 users will need to charge once in every ten days.
UP2 is priced at Rs 9,999 and available exclusively on Amazon.in. Buyers can choose from three available colours, violet circle, light grey hex and black diamond.
UP3
UP3 is Jawbone's high-end fitness tracker in India. The company's latest, UP4, is not set for release in the country. UP3 packs more features than UP Move and UP2 and is priced accordingly. The high-end wearable tracks resting and passive heart rate, automatic and detailed sleep stage tracking, as well as automatic workouts. The elegant look of the UP3 makes it an appealing fashion accessory. The tracker runs up to a week before needing another recharge.
UP3 is available in six colours, black twist, indigo twist, ruby cross, sand twist, silver cross and teal cross. It can be purchased from Amazon.in for Rs 14,999.
All three trackers are compatible with iOS and Android. Users must download free Jawbone UP app from Google Play Store or iTunes to fetch all the tracking details by individual trackers.
