Brexit, Britain's decision to exit the European Union, has left the supercar makers of the UK with no option other than slashing the prices of their marquee offerings. After the news of Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) India slashing the prices of both made-in-India and imported models in the country made news in the auto corridor, now comes the report that it's not JLR alone. Carmaker like Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Aston Martin and Ferrari have also decided to pass on the benefits to its customers in India.
The drop in Pound's value in the market after Brexit has made exports cheaper. According to a report of ET Auto, the prices of the vehicles from UK carmakers Rolls-Royce, Aston Martin, Ferrari have gone down in India in the range of Rs 20 lakh to 1 crore. Apparently, carmakers like Rolls-Royce and Ferrari cut prices in March this year.

The report says that the price of the Ferrari 488 has gone down to Rs 3.6 crore from the previous 3.9 crore while Rolls-Royce Phantom and Ghost saw a drop of nearly Rs 1 crore. Rolls-Royce Phantom is now priced at Rs 8 crore. The Phantom was originally priced at Rs 9 crore.
On the other hand, the prices of Rolls-Royce Ghost came down to Rs 4.75 crore from the previous Rs 5.25 crore. Aston Martin DB11 is another marquee car that witnessed a price drop. The price of the DB11 is now down to Rs 4.06 crore from Rs 4.27 crore. The said prices are believed to be in effect already and the prices of the JLR range came into effect on April 1.
JLR's locally assembled Discovery Sport and Evoque received a price cut of Rs 4 lakh and Rs 3 lakh while the Range Rover Sport's price came down by Rs 30 lakh. The SUV range of Land Rover, which includes Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, Discovery Sport and 2017 Range Rover Evoque have also seen a similar price cut post-Brexit in India.
