Japanese road closed after sinkhole opens up again
A road in Japan had to be closed after showing signs of a sinkhole opening up.It was the same road that had just been reopened after a week of repairs after a giant sinkhole opened up.Japanese authorities received worldwide praise for the quick repair of the initial sinkhole on a five-lane intersection.More than 2,000 truckload worth of soil mixed with cement was dumped into the hole.On 25 November the road was closed again after officials noticed it had sunk by seven centimetres.Later that day the road was reopened after authorities decided it was no longer in danger of sinking further.
