Japan: Mount Aso eruption covers surrounding areas in ash
Mount Aso, Japan’s biggest active volcano, erupted early on Saturday (8 October). It spewed volcanic ash 7 miles high into the air.Surrounding areas up to 4km away are covered in a thick layer of ash. The 5,222ft high Mount Aso is one of Japan’s most active volcanoes.
