Popular romantic comedy drama Jane The Virgin has gone on a long winter break after its big reveal in episode 7, titled Chapter Fifty-One. Episode 8 of season 3 is titled Chapter Fifty-Two and it will be aired on January 23.
The show concluded its seventh episode by disclosing that Rafael Solano is an adopted son of Emilio and he was born in Italy. The sequel also hinted at a secret back story for Jane Gloriana Villanueva's cousin sister Catalina.
The big revelations have set up bigger mysteries for the upcoming episodes and the viewers are eager to know more about the biological parents of Justin Baldoni's character and if they are in touch with Sofia Pernas' character.
The official synopsis for the mid-season premiere episode is yet to be released, but the trailers hint at troubled moments for Mateo's parents. The video begins with a shocking confession by detective Michael Cordero to his wife, wherein he informs her that he quit his job and wants to try out something new.
Before even getting enough time to recover from the shock, Gina Rodriguez's character gets the biggest shock of her life when her husband reveals that he wants to try his hands at stand-up comedy. Although the female lead is not really happy about it, her father Rogelio de la Vega encourages her to support him.
The promo also shows Jane witnessing her mother Xiomara sharing an intimate moment with former boyfriend Bruce. Will she be happy to see them together? From her unpleasant face, it is quite evident that she will confront her mother regarding her new relationship.
In the meantime, Rafael might seek Michael's help to find out the whereabouts of his real parents and they could end up at the doorsteps of Catalina. Even after Mateo's mother reluctantly expressed her discomfort to Sofia Pernas' character regarding her presence in the house, she came up with a couple of reasons for staying back. Does it have anything to do with the 31-year-old owner of the Marbella Hotel?
The viewers will have to wait until The CW drama series resumes with a new episode on January 23. Until then, watch the first seven episodes of the currently running season online here.
