The satellite rights of director Koratala Siva's "Janatha Garage" have been sold for a record price. The makers of Junior NTR's film have roped in actress Kajal Aggarwal for a cameo role in the movie.
"Janatha Garage" is one of the most-awaited Telugu movies of 2016 and the hype surrounding the film had created lot of demand for its TV rights. Now, Maa TV has acquired its rights for a whopping price of Rs 12.50 crore. Mahesh S Koneru, the publicist for the film, tweeted: "Young Tiger NTR @tarak9999 's #JanathaGarage satellite rights picked up by MAA Tv for approx 12.5 Cr (Inclusive of Service Tax) "
Junior NTR's last outing "Nannaku Prematho" had fetched Rs. 10.25 crore from the sale of its satellite rights, which were acquired by Gemini TV. It was the highest price for the TV rights of a movie starring the young tiger. Now, "Janatha Garage" has beaten the record of "Nannaku Prematho" and it is the second highest price after "Sardaar Gabbar Singh," which has earned Rs. 13 crore from its rights.
On the other hand, the bosses of Mythri Movie Makers, who are producing "Janatha Garage," have confirmed the casting of "Kajal Aggarwal." They wrote on the official Twitter handle of their production house: "The super Successful combo is back! Gorgeous @MsKajalAggarwal is doing a special song with our Young Tiger @tarak9999 in #JanathaGarage ☺ï¸."
Kajal Aggarwal has earlier worked with Junior NTR in "Brindaavanam" and "Baadshah" and their chemistry worked wonders for the films. She is teaming up with him for the third time, but this time, she will only be seen shaking legs with him in a special song. Mahesh S Koneru tweeted: "The lovely @MsKajalAggarwal will be doing a special song with @tarak9999 in #JanathaGarage .. Rocking number."
"Janatha Garage" is an action film and director Koratala Siva has written script for the movie, which is produced by Naveen Yerneni, Y Ravi Shankar and CV Mohan. Mohanlal, Jr NTR, Samantha and Nithya Menon are playing the lead roles, while Saikumar, Tamil actress Devayani and Malayalam actor Unni Mukundan essay other important roles in the film, which is set to be released in theatres on Sep 2.
