The makers of "Janatha Garage" have advanced its release date by a day and Junior NTR and Samantha have kick-started the promotions of the Koratala Siva-directed action movie.
The producers of "Janatha Garage" confirmed on Tuesday that they have wrapped up the production of the movie. Earlier, they had announced that the film would be released in theatres around the world on Sept 2. But now, they have advanced it to Sept 1 due to some reason. Koratala Siva confirmed its release date on his Twitter handle and wrote: "And all set for September 1st. Need ur love and blessings. Thank u all."
Mahesh S Koneru, the publicist for "Janatha Garage," tweeted: "#JanathaGarage - Grand Worldwide Release on September 1st. Hunt begins in 9 days. Beautiful photo from #JanathaGarage.. You will be treated to some fantastic visuals on September 1st." Samantha says the film will break some records. The actress wrote: "Sept 1st it is â¤ï¸ #JanathaGarageOnSep1st . Time to break some records."
"Janatha Garage" has been made on a whopping budget of around 40 crore. The hype surrounding it created huge demand for its theatrical rights and huge amounts were offered by distributors and exhibitors. The film has earned a large sum of money through its pre-release business. The makers are reportedly spending over Rs 2 crore on the publicity of the film, which is being started on Wednesday, Aug.24.
Junior NTR and Samantha will start attending interviews with various media houses. Talking to International Business Times India, Mahesh S Koneru said the makers are focusing more on its publicity on social media. "Along with traditional media of TV, websites, radio and papers, we are going heavily with Social Media and Direct To Fan promotion through WhatsApp etc," the publicist said.
The hashtag #JanathaGaragechallenge, which is a trend created by Junior NTR fans, has gone viral on social media and has got enough attention for the movie. "Fans have started 'Janatha Garage' challenge by planting trees and nominating their friends to do so. The film unit has encouraged and supported these endeavours," Mahesh told IBTimes India.
"Janatha Garage" is a bilingual action film, simultaneously made in Malayalam and released with the same title. Talking about the publicity of its Malayalam version, Mahesh confirmed that Mohanlal has bought its rights, but he declined to divulge more details. "Mohanlal has bought the rights of its Malayalam version and his team is taking care of its promotions in Kerala," said the PRO.
