Koratala Siva is aiming for a hat-trick of hits, with his latest movie "Janatha Garage," which is getting released this Thursday, Sept. 1. The director is basking in the back-to-back success of his films, "Mirchi" and "Srimanthudu."
"Janatha Garage" features Junior NTR and Malayalam superstar Mohanlal playing the leads. Samantha and Nithya Menen are the female leads in the movie, which has Unni Mukundan, Saikumar, Devayani, Rahman, Sithara and others in key roles. Devi Sri Prasad has composed the music, while Tirru has handled the cinematography and Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao has edited the frames.
The shooting of the movie began in February 2016 at Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad. The film has been mainly shot in Hyderabad, some places in Kerala, and Mumbai. The schedule went smoothly, and hence, "Janatha Garage" is ready for release on time.
The director had written the screenplay keeping Junior NTR and Mohanlal in mind. The story touches upon issues pertaining to nature. The hero, played by Junior NTR, is a nature activist, who is willing to go to any extent to promote the cause.
It is not a regular commercial entertainer, since it also carries a social message. Nonetheless, the audience will get to see all the elements that Junior NTR's fans love to see in his movies. As the trailer of the movie indicated, it is high on action and has beautiful visuals.
"Janatha Garage" has managed to generate a lot of buzz around it through its trailer and teaser. The audio too has turned out to be a hit with three songs — "Jayaho Janatha," "Nee Selavadigi" and "Pranamam" — becoming chartbusters.
Samantha is teaming up with Junior NTR for the fourth time, after "Brindavanam," "Ramayya Vasthavayya" and "Rabhasa." Their chemistry has worked well in the previous projects. Nithya Menen has an important role as the second female lead. Leading actress Kajal Aggarwal has done an item number, which is one of the attractions in the film.
"Janatha Garage" is getting released in a big manner worldwide in around 2,000 screens, of which over 350 screens are located overseas. To cash in on the hype, the makers have organised special shows on Aug. 31. Single-screen theatres in some centres in Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Karnataka and Telangana have decided to hold early morning shows on Sept. 1.
