A youth, suspected to be a militant, is reported to have thrown chilli powder at a policeman, snatched his rifle and fled from the spot on Friday in Jammu & Kashmir's Kulgam district.
The incident took place outside Kulgam's Court Complex where constable Zahid Ali was posted. The youth snatched his rifle when he was standing in a sand bunker at the gate of Court Complex, eyewitnesses said, according to Kashmir Life.
According to Times Now, the suspected militant also attacked the constable.
A police party has rushed to the spot to hunt down the youth.
