An accident scare turned out to be hoax after initial reports claimed that a school bus carrying around 40 students had fallen into a gorge in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district on Thursday.
According to initial reports, several schoolchildren were feared dead. However, Additional Superintendent of Police of Poonch district later clarified that the bus, carrying students of Gareeb Nawaz School, did not meet with any sort of accident and returned safe, the Times of India reported.
The school bus was travelling from Manjakote Falls in Rajouri to Peer Kee Gali located in Mughal Road in the state's Poonch district. The students were reportedly on their way to a picnic.
