Pakistan violated ceasefire yet again along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Shahpur area of Poonch district in Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday morning.
According to Greater Kashmir, shelling began around 9:30 am in Sher, Shakti and Doda sectors of the district.
There were no reports of any damage to life and property.
A civilian identified as Tanveer Ahmed was killed in the cross-border firing between India and Pakistan on December 30 as the neighbouring country targeted Indian posts and civilian areas along the LoC in the Poonch district of the state.
Ahmed died when a shell fired by Pakistani troops fell on his house following which locals shifted him to a Poonch Hospital where he was declared brought dead.
Pakistan had violated ceasefire on December 16 as well along the LoC in the Balakote sector of Poonch.
The ceasefire violations come three weeks after the Indian Army had launched a counter-offensive against Pakistan on November 23 against the killing of three soldiers in the Machhil sector of Kupwara district.
