One civilian and one soldier were reported injured in heavy firing by Pakistani forces in Balakot sector in Poonch district of Jammu & Kashmir.
Pakistan violated ceasefire for the third consecutive day on Thursday.
They resorted to heavy mortar shelling from 7:45 pm to 12 am on forward posts and civilian areas along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch.
"Pakistani troops resorted to heavy firing of automatic weapons and Rocket Projectile Grenades (RPGs) besides mortar bombs on forward posts along LoC in Balakote sector of Poonch district from 1820 hours this evening," ANI quoted Jammu PRO Defence SN Acharya as saying.

In September alone, Pakistan violated the ceasefire around 22 times. Ceasefire violations by Pakistani troops was also reported on Wednesday, thrice in Krishnagati and Balakot sectors of Poonch district.
One villager was killed and four others were injured when Pakistan violated ceasefire along the LoC in Poonch district on 7 September.
At least 52 ceasefire violations were reported in August, including the 27 August violation, in which three civilians were killed and 16 others sustained injuries. While in July, 19 violations were reported. In total, there were 245 ceasefire violations in 2015.
