The Pakistan Army on Friday morning opened fire at Indian posts in Chapriyal and Samwan along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Akhnoor sector of Jammu and Kashmir. Small arms are said to have been used.
"Firing had started at about 0030hrs with small arms in Chapriyal and Samwan areas in Pallanwala area, which stopped at about 0130 hrs. No loss of life and property was reported. Situation so far is normal," Jammu deputy commissioner of police Simrandeep Singh told Hindustan Times.
This is the fiifth ceasefire ciolation by Pakistan in the last 48 hours.
The firing comes after the Indian Army carried out surgical strikes on seven terror launch pads across the LoC, killing 38 terrorists and two soldiers of the Pakistan Army on Wednesday night.
