A jawan has been killed while another was injured after the Indian Army foiled an infiltration bid in Jammu and Kashmir's Tangdhar sector on Thursday.
The encounter is still underway.
Meanwhile, Pakistan violated ceasefire in the Kathua sector of the state on Thursday using automatic weapons and mortars. BSF is retaliating effectively.
Pakistani troops violated ceasefire yet again in the state's Mendhar sector on the same day. Security forces are appropriately retaliating to the firing.
Ceasefire has also been violated in the KG sector of Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district. Pakistani troops have used small arms, automatic weapons and 82mm mortars. The armed forces are responding appropriately.
Pakistan has violated ceasefire nearly 40 times since the Indian Army carried out surgical strikes on terror launch pads across the Line of Control on September 29, killing two Pakistani soldiers and 38 terrorists.
