The Indian Army foiled an infiltration bid by terrorists on Tuesday night along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Rampur sector of the Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir, an official said on Wednesday.
"Army troops opened fire on a group of terrorists trying to sneak into our territory on Tuesday night and forced them back across the Line of Control in Rampur sector of Baramulla district," the official was quoted by the Press Trust of India (PTI) as saying.
No casualties were reported. Terrorists were forced to retreat to Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
A search and combing operation is underway in the area to flush out the terrorists.
