A militant dressed in a burqa opened fire at a bus stand in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district on Friday, injuring at least two civilians.
According to IANS, the militant was being chased by members of the counter insurgency Special Operation Group (SOG) when he opened indiscriminate fire.
Two people were injured and were taken to a hospital.
The burqa-clad militant was arrested in Pulwama following the firing.
The attack comes days after two civilians, including a 12-year-old girl, were injured during firing between militants and security forces in Pulwama on Tuesday.
A day later, militants hurled grenades at an army bunker in Kupwara district, injuring at least three soldiers.
There has been an increasing spate of attacks by militants in different parts of Jammu and Kashmir over recent weeks, which has claimed the lives of several army jawans and policemen.
