At least two terrorists were killed in an encounter that broke out between security forces and terrorists in the Ganderbal district of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday morning. Firing was heard in the Hadoora area of the district's Khimber locality.
According to media reports, security forces took action after receiving information that two militants were hiding in a house in the area. A fierce gunbattle is still underway to flush out the terrorists. The area has been cordoned off.
Two AK-47 rifles have also been recovered from the terrorists, both of whom belonged to Laskar-e-Toiba.
According to India Today, one of the deceased terrorists belonged to Lashkar-e-Toiba.

Infiltration bid foiled
Meanwhile, an infiltration bid was also foiled in the Sunderbani area of Rajouri district in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday morning. One infiltrator has been killed by the security forces.
