At least one terrorist has been killed in a gunbattle with the security forces in Jammu & Kashmir, said reports.
The encounter, which reportedly took place at Tailbal area on the outskirts of state capital Srinagar, was carried out jointly by the police and the CRPF.
Reports suggest that the terrorist identified as Sajad Ahmad Bhat belongs to Lashkar-e-Taiba.
One more terrorist is believed to be hiding in the area. A search operation has been launched, as per unconfirmed reports.
The incident comes a little over a week after the Pathankot air base was attacked by Paksitani terrorists on 2 January.
