Real Madrid attacking midfielder James Rodriguez is one the most highly-rated footballers in the world at the moment. However, playing in one of the biggest clubs in the world has its share of cheers and upsets for even the best of players.
James, 25, is reportedly unhappy with the lack of game-time he has been getting this season at Real Madrid.
Now, Spanish news outlet Diario Gol has claimed that the Columbian has verbally agreed to join Manchester United in the 2017 summer transfer window. James' agent Jorge Mendes, meanwhile, also represents Man Utd manager Jose Mourinho!
The footballer's wife Daniela Ospina, in the midst of it all, is searching for a new house in the UK, fuelling speculations that a move for James from Real Madrid to United, looks pretty imminent this summer.
James married Daniela, a 24-year-old vollyball player from Colombia, in December 2010. They have a daughter named Salome, born on May 29 2013. Daniela is the younger sister of Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina.
"The moment he (James) has to make the decision, he will take it. If not, I think he will be happy here [at Real Madrid]," The Sun quoted Daniela as saying. "I cannot say anything. It's a very personal decision.
"James wants to stay in Real Madrid. He is super happy, always working and trying to improve himself, whatever it has to be."
James, who signed for Real from Monaco in 2014 for a fee of £63million, has made a total of 18 La Liga appearances this season (as on April 27), scoring and assisting six times each.
The Colombia international's present contract at the Santiago Bernabeu runs until June 30 2020.
